Welcome Back!!!!

Gone are the dog days of summer and onto the steamy days of school!  What a great Orientation night and first day back at school.  The high light of orientation night was a sweet exchange between a couple kids thinking Win-Win.  One boy in our class offered his eraser to a girl because it had more pink than he would like and she reached in and swapped him for her less girly Dr. Seuss eraser. I hope both sets of parents were proud of those two kids, because it was awesome.

I enjoyed lots of smiles, questions, hugs, high fives, and stories today.  Today we went over some expectations, learned a little about Mrs. Sheahan, toured our classroom, began working on our time capsules and started to assemble our Leader Notebooks. Today the students worked great together to listen when necessary, work hard and all were very helpful.  I am sure we will have a great year together!

This week on Thursday and Friday we will be dismissing early at 1:10 due to heat and humidity.  We will still have a very busy couple days with some spelling tests, writing assessments, and hopefully some back to school bingo, some brain breaks, and a few more expectations and procedures reviewed.
